The Food Librarian

So yesterday I made a post about how I wind down and chill out with an animated movie and a sweet treat. Though this doesn't technically relate to media, I wanted to give you guys the site from where I get a lot of the recipes that I use for my Animated Baking Therapy. Go check out this AHHMAZING site : http://www.foodlibrarian.com/?m=1

Therapy

Sooooo I realize that I've been absent for a while, even though I'm not sure if anyone's noticed, but I have something that I would really like to share with all of you. Some people might indulge in some chocolate therapy, retail therapy, massage therapy, or even just plain therapy to unwind. I, indulge in something very different. I call it "Animated baking therapy". It helps to have the kitchen all to yourself while undergoing this procedure.

First, pick a recipe. I would recommend a dessert of some kind or something involving an oven, but that's completely up to you. For this post, I am going to use the delicious cupcake cones as an example.

Secondly, make sure that you are far away from whatever you need unwinding from and make sure that you have a TV or laptop that you can see from your cooking area.

Thirdly, pick a movie. In my case, animated movies work best to calm me down, but it might be different for everyone. The movies that I have found that work best are The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, How to Train Your Dragon, and Toy Story 3.

Lastly, BEGIN. Start your ovens or stoves or refrigerators and your movie and just chill a bit. Even if you're not giving your full attention to the movie, it just helps to have it playing in case you happen to glance up and see a prince find his princess or see a boy become a hero.

And I give you the Mediaholic guarantee that by the time the movie's over and the cupcake cones (or whatever you chose) are out of the oven, you will feel MUCH better. And if you don't, just start all over, and sooner or later, your problems won't even exist anymore.

Catch ya on the screen side.

I'm hanging my head in shame that I just said that. Changing my catchphrase NOW.

Hey there....nobody

So this is my first post. Don't worry, it's not going to be an ambiguous post on the workings of a first post. Instead of boring you very much to death, I'm going to tell you what I plan on doing with this brand new blog. As my name states, I am a media-holic. Obsessed to the point of sending all who love me into a pit of worry, sympathy, and helplessness. I, however, don't mind this curse, and with this blog, can use it to my advantage. This will be the portal from my mind to your screen(s). Hopefully there will be more than one of you reading my posts. So, yeah, this blog will pretty much be rants, reviews, raves, and really anything that I come up with relating to something I've seen/heard/played relating to, well, media. Hope to see more of you!
